Set up a bookable service page with templates in 15 minutes
1. Pick a template for your business type
Every sched.fyi business starts on Classic — a single-column layout that works for any category and is never gated. It's the layout the public booking page falls back to if a premium template's requirements ever lapse, so it's always a safe default.
Beyond Classic, sched.fyi offers a set of premium layouts. Each one is recommended for a cluster of business categories — a print-spread layout for salons and studios, a chart-style layout for clinics and fitness studios, and so on — but the recommendation is a steer, not a restriction: any business can select any template. Premium templates require the Notebook plan; picking one on a lower tier is blocked server-side with a plain message telling you what's needed, not a silent failure.
2. Add services, durations, and prices
Add each service your business offers, with its duration and price. This is what a customer sees on the booking page before they pick a time — the service list is the first decision in the booking flow, ahead of the time slot.
3. Set operating hours
Set the hours your business is actually open. Customers can only pick time slots that fall inside them, so this is what keeps the booking page from offering a slot nobody can actually serve.
4. Add custom intake fields
This is where a booking page stops being generic. sched.fyi's booking form is an ordered list of fields you configure once — up to 12 of them — and each one is one of six kinds:
- Short text / long text — a name, a note, anything free-form
- Email — validated at both the form and the server
- Single select — a dropdown with up to 10 options
- Waiver — a checkbox acknowledgment or a drawn/typed signature
- Payment — a placement marker for where the payment step sits; the actual payment details are configured separately, and this field is never answered as part of the intake — it's completed afterward, on the confirmation page
Mark any field required, and choose whether it's answered during the booking or collected after — a waiver before the appointment, a payment reference once the booking already exists. Field IDs must be unique and at most one payment field is allowed per business; the server enforces both, so a misconfigured form fails loudly instead of quietly.
5. Share the link
Once the page is live, it's a single URL — no app, no account, no sign-in for the customer. Print it, message it, or generate a QR code sized for a counter card, a story post, or a poster.
Checklist before printing the counter card
- Template picked — Classic if you're not sure, a premium layout if you're on Notebook and want the category-recommended look
- Every service has a duration and a price
- Operating hours match when you're actually open
- Intake fields cover what you need to know before the appointment — and nothing more than that
- Any required waiver is set up and reads correctly on a phone screen
- The booking link opens correctly in a fresh, signed-out browser before it goes on the card
